Universal Driver 4.6. This release sees
several legacy issues resolved and which could
effect systems with large records keys and large
records. It features a brand new installer and
it is now fully backwards compatible - something
that was lost when version 3.0 was released.

I am pleased to announce the commercial release of
OpenInsight version 9.0, the latest version of
Revelation’s Windows Application Development
Toolset. This new version includes new tools and
enhancements designed to deliver more features to
end-users, whilst further reducing development times
for developers. With companies facing a new year
with the challenge of getting more from their
development teams and with ever decreasing budgets,
we expect this new version to be welcomed by
existing OpenInsight developers and other developers
looking for a more flexible and economical solution

version 9.0 EMEA price list is now available.

Effective December 1, 2008 Revelation Software will
discontinue OpenInsight for Linux (OIL) and no
longer accept orders for this product. Our decision
is based upon a lack of demand for this product and
that both RedHat and Suse have abandoned development
for the Linux desktop. Installing OpenInsight for
Windows on Linux based servers is still supported.
OpenInsight for Windows can be installed on Linux
servers with Windows desktops connecting using a
SAMBA share and using the Universal Driver 3.0 or
4.5.

released. This new version includes improved
performance, improved reliability and an improved
user interface. The UDH 4.5 is available free
of charge to existing 3.1 users (shipping and

additional technical track to their EMEA conference.
Entitled Internet 2.0, the session will explore how
OECGI2 expands the feature set of OECGI and provides
developers with more options and flexibility.
The session will then go on to explore web security
- a must see session for any Revelation developer
building, or considering building, systems to run
over the web. In this day and age that should
be just about everyone!
