What is WebOI?

WebOI is an award winning Web enablement and development toolkit for OpenInsight release 9.0 and above. WebOI Web Ready interrogates existing OpenInsight data and ties it into the Web. Existing OpenInsight Forms and Popups can be ported quickly and easily to the Web, and existing subroutines and functions can be integrated to apply business logic, allowing for maximum re-use and integration with minimum effort and cost.

Completely new interface pages can also be created and integrated quickly and easily. WebOI use Web templates to allow developers to create and maintain the Web interface with any HTML editor and then tie those pages to the database. This provides absolute control over the layout, look and feel of your Web pages.

Functions such as audit trail, security, search, drill, view, save, delete, and AJAX are all provided as standard. No extra coding is required. WebOI systems can be created and maintained locally or remotely, using any standard Web browser. They can even be maintained with a hand held or mobile device running an appropriate Web browser. This provides huge flexibility, and can make maintaining systems easy, flexible, and very convenient.

Features
WebOI includes integrated AJAX, allowing the Web pages to run as a GUI interface, i.e. allowing for a much tighter or higher level of interactivity. This also includes the 'Porting OpenInsight Forms and Popups to the Web' tools. This also includes a local copy of the tutorials, and new 'start' page that has links to the local tutorials, to the designer, and to the user interface. The start page also provides useful information such as the default user id and password to use - and how to change that user id and password. Browser Compatibility
All WebOI Web pages are compatible across all major browsers. All functions and all features work correctly regardless of the browser that WebOI is being run through. (Please note that for WebOI to operate, the browser must be javascript compliant; and for GUI mode to operate, the browser must be frames compliant. For the WebOI Designer to operate effectively, and for default pages to operate effectively, the browser must also be stylesheet compliant; however, the stylesheet dependence can be removed from default pages once created.)

WebOI can be used to Web enable existing OpenInsight-based systems, quickly and easily.

Pricing and Support?
WebOI is included with OpenInsight 9.0 and above Server Edition licenses and requires a Revelation WDP license for either OECGI or OECGI2.
